Building Back After Extreme Weather | October 18, 2024

A Note From Our CEO

My thoughts this past week have been with the people in my home state of Florida, which just suffered a direct hit from Hurricane Milton. This is a tragic moment for the Gulf Coast of Florida, as well as for Western North Carolina, which is still reeling from Hurricane Helene. As both regions recover and eventually rebuild, it’s imperative we think differently about the energy technologies we prioritize going forward. Of course, little will stand up to extreme winds and flooding, but investing in durable, resilient energy solutions , such as distributed energy resources, will better position us to cope with the increasingly extreme weather events we are seeing all over the country. Collectively, we must make advanced energy solutions central to our energy future.?
