Build Your Public Speaking Skills with The Practice Circle!
I have a go-to hack for calming my nerves before I speak.?
Singing… loudly!
I love singing along to a favorite song, such as one by Adele or Journey, with the volume turned up high to drown out my less-than-stellar voice.?
I do this where no one can hear me – in my car.?
There's something exhilarating about driving alone and singing that gets the adrenaline flowing. It's fun, warms up my vocals, and fills me with the right kind of energy.
My theory is that singing in the car lets you embody your voice without fear of failure or judgment.?
The more you do it, the more you strengthen your expression muscles.?
Great! But… this is only part of becoming a confident public speaker.?
The next step is to feel comfortable expressing yourself in front of people.?
This is where practice comes in.
Regular practice with others helps desensitize you to the fear of public speaking, making each experience less intimidating.
Good news! We have a practice program starting THIS WEEK on June 6.
