Start by logging in to Adalo and deciding on the type of app you want to make. You can choose one of Adalo's templates to familiarize yourself with the tool or start with a blank canvas.

Step 1: Screens and components

Screens are the foundation of your application. So, naturally, the first step in creating an application in Adalo is setting up your screens. Adalo automatically generates a Signup, Login, and Home screen for every new app. Of course, you can create as many screens as you like and customize them as needed.?

Once you have all the screens you need, you can organize them and build your tailored user experience using components. Components in Adalo are best compared to building blocks. They are all of the elements of your screens, such as buttons, text, lists, maps, calendars, etc. You can easily drag components from the menu on the left, drop them straight into your design, and arrange them as desired. Step 2: Create and update databases.

Most, if not all, applications will require you to set up databases (collections) to store all information. Adalo allows users to set up a brand new database, integrate an existing one, or even use an external database. You can manage any databases from within the platform, of course. By default, all Adalo apps have a Users collection. It's up to you to add the rest!

You will then have to add some properties to the items in your collections. Properties essentially define the characteristics of any items in your collections—things like name, description, location, and size. There are also Relationship Properties that allow you to create Relationships between collections, to keep things orderly. Finally, you'll want to add records to your database. Records are where the information within a collection is stored.

Step 3: Set up actions

Once you've set up all your app screens, added the desired components, and created your databases, it is time to link the screens together and bring your app to life. Set up actions to determine how users will move through your app and go from a prototype to an actual functioning application!

You can use Adalo actions, for example, to direct app users to a different screen, to let them click around and interact with the components on the screen, or to submit data to a database.?

You are now done setting up your application and are almost ready for launch! Before you do that, though, take your time to test all functionalities thoroughly.
