Keep Your Business in Front of the Right People:
It can be challenging to make the connection between your online presence and your productivity levels, but they are related. Keep in mind that people are searching online for someone in your industry before looking anywhere else. That’s why your content needs to be easily accessible, consistent, and true to your brand.
To get started, check out this great article by Hootsuite on how to create your social media marketing plan. One of their great tips is to set S.M.A.R.T. goals when creating your objectives. Each goal should be:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Attainable
- Relevant
- Time-bound
Once you have your plan, it’s time to optimize your content, try some of Sprout Social’s suggestions for getting insights into your social media’s data. Hashtags are very important to include in your posts so that people can find your content when searching for relevant keywords.
Try these three strategies to connect your audience with your services.
Reminding People about What you Do:
Stay connected to your network by creating a virtual business card. Include an image with your picture, contact info, and your branded hashtag. Add in aspects of your bio to show your personality. Using a reminder card to brand your services, is an easy way for your followers to pass along your info, and remind people that you’re available.
Consistent Content is Key:
Your content strategy should be consistent, and meaningful to your audience. Create a schedule for how you want to break up your posts. Make it realistic for you, don’t feel pressured to post every day. Always choose quality over quantity. Come up with categories for your posts, and create hashtags for your content. Try something like #TipTuesday to educate your audience, or #FunFriday to share local activities. However you choose to break up your content is up to you, but always be consistent with your posting schedule.
Keep it Personal:
The most important aspect of your page that it feels authentic to you. You want your audience to see you as more than your job title. Think about what’s important in your life that shows who you are. An easy way to do this is to occasionally share content from your personal social to your business page. Share your goals and passions – take the time to reflect on what makes you unique.
Social media is a powerful business tool when used with purpose. Having a strategy in place is going to take effort, but it’s worth your time. We recommend you post a reminder card post about once a month as a recurring reminder. Feel free to switch it up a bit each time you post it. Add some fun facts about you, your favorite quote, or a blurb about why you love what you do. As long as people are being reminded about your business, the more likely they are to use your services.
