Build Your Brand with Community

Build Your Brand with Community

The social media landscape can be tough, with large and medium-sized brands shouting over each other for the limited attention of their audiences, and this can seem hard to compete with, especially for SMEs and charities who may have smaller budgets and limited resources, but this small pool of resources can also allow you to connect with your audience in a more meaningful way. Helping your audience become a community.??

Regular organic posts across platforms that share your organisation's knowledge and expertise, telling authentic stories and interacting with your audience in the comments are some ways of building a community that will lead to a customer base that shares the same ethos as your business.?

Where to Start

It can be difficult to know where to start, but we’ve pulled some examples together that will help you create engaging content.?

Speak on Crucial Issues

We don’t mean host a full-on event or go and speak at an event (although that would be brilliant!) Speaking on crucial issues could be as simple as creating a TikTok or Instagram reel discussing an issue or hosting an internal lunch and learn with your colleagues.?

Engage in Industry News

Check socials and the news once a day to see what’s going on within your industry and directly engage with that news, through comments, discussions or making social posts – we did something like this in response to the ‘Goodbye Meta AI' trend.??

Volunteer

Volunteer days are a great way to support a good cause but also provides a good team-building exercise, helps get your business known in the community, and helps you reach new people on socials who may be interested in that kind of volunteer work too. Volunteer days could include anything from litter picking to helping at a animal shelter. You could also donate and sponsor brilliant not-for-profits like Wiltshire Digital Drive who refurbish unwanted technology to give to people who need it. ?
