Dear Friends,
I just added the petition: "Build Water Desalinization Plants~"
It would mean a lot to me if you took a moment to add your name because:
California is in the middle of the worst water drought crisis in modern history! We are going to be losing priceless, historical artifacts up and down the state of California. California feeds the United States!
Due to the horrific four year drought, our mountains are bare, our rivers are not flowing as they should and our lakes are at all time lows. We can live without OIL! We CANNOT live without water!
It will take approx. $25B to build a desalinization plant. What is there to think about? Do it! We already have the highest tax for gasoline! Change it to water and lower the gas tax. The water tables are rising. We have as much water as needed in our own back yard!
How does the middle east survive? Desalinization plants. Mother nature has warned us for years and we are going to pay a very heavy penalty for not being proactive and building the proper infrastructure.. There are no politics involved here, just common sense, with water we live, without water we die!

Real change happens when everyday people like you and me come together and stand up for what we believe in. Together, we can reach tons of people and help create change around this important issue.
After you've signed the petition please also take a moment to share it with others. It's super easy – all you need to do is forward this email.
Thank you!

9 年So, what... You're assuming the govt is bankrolling a private project awaiting approval to connect 2 pipelines over an international border? As a country, we're not capable of doing both? The better question would be why haven't they looked into and invested in water desalinization plants earlier....

9 年You politicized it by mentioning the keystone pipeline.
