Build A Successful Sales Process

Build A Successful Sales Process

To build a sales strategy built to win in 2023, there are four things you have to do very well.

Number one - you have to have absolute clarity on who your ideal prospect is.

Number two - you have to create a system that captures qualified leads.

Number three - you have to create content that draws them in.

Number four - you have to have a sales process that converts prospects to clients.

To wrap up our four-part series, let's focus on STEP 4 - converting prospects into clients.

If you have yet to watch any of the first three, go back to the YouTube channel HERE. Disclaimer... I will not teach you any closing hacks or perfect silver bullet scripts to use.

Instead, I'm talking about creating a system so you can convert those ideal prospects into clients.

Every good sales system has to have a process. Do you have a process you can rinse and repeat? Do you start with a discovery call? Is there a second meeting, followed by a proposal?

Here are three things to focus on when building an effective sales process.

STEP ONE is having a process in the first place. I watch too many people recreating the wheel with every sales opportunity. If you take the time to sit down and create a process you can rinse and repeat, you will close more business.

STEP TWO is automating that process. What can you do to automate your sales process to make life easier for yourself?

For example, here at Complete Game Consulting, we've created an automated email sequence so that when a prospect schedules a meeting with us, a calendar invite goes out, and they automatically receive a welcome email with a video from me that talks about how the discovery meeting will go.

Then before the meeting, they get an automated email from me reminding them 24 hours in advance. In that email, I share the agenda of what we'll be covering so they're prepared when they come to the discovery meeting.

What are you doing to automate your sales system?

STEP THREE is leveraging the power of video. I love this one because if you can walk your prospects through your sales process leveraging video, I feel it is the most effective way to get somebody to a close.

Leveraging videos this way will take your sales to the next level. I used it as an advisor, and creating pre-recorded sales proposals can be beneficial in the time lapse between your presentation and their final decision. They can even share your video with other decision-makers in their company.

The key to an effective sales process is not the perfect sales script or the perfect closing technique. It's about having a process that

you can automate and leverage video throughout the process to help stand out with your prospect.
