With the rapidity around us regarding low employee engagement, quiet quitting, and high turnover, what do you think about the concept of a “Stay” letter from your CEO? The following is an example.
Subject: Message from the CEO
Dear Employees of XYZ, Inc.
I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you and let you know how much we value your contributions to our organization. The past few years have been extremely difficult for you and your family. The pandemic disrupted, the economy followed on, environmental conditions stretched us even further, and the global concerns regarding war all punched on as we struggled to find our way back to our corner.
With open eyes, we realize that we are also to blame for your lack of trust, low employee engagement, elevated levels of turnover, and quiet quitting. I want you to know that we are committed to making our workplace a better place for everyone.
We have the teams and strategies to make us successful, but we cannot survive on that path without your engagement and teamwork. Your creativity, innovation, input, and connection are the glue that makes this exceedingly difficult engine work.
It is my commitment that with you, my team, and I will thrive to deliver the strategies for growth to support opportunities for higher compensation and promotions that lead to advancement.
Give me a year to work with Human Resources to build an open culture with clarity of communication toward higher levels of morale. During that year’s journey, I will communicate with you monthly to keep you informed of our progress.
Can each of you give me your commitment to stay? If so, watch us move forward with the steps addressed above.
Thank you.?
