?? Build a custom Chat-GPT (without any technical skill)

ChatGPT has gone from being super quick at responding to problems (e.g. multimodality, web browsing, integrating DallE-3) to actually anticipating future problems and solving those too.

Enter “GPTs” - the feature you didn’t know you wanted yet. You can now build and train your very own custom version of ChatGPT. So it’ll have all the knowledge it already has, PLUS the information and instructions you give it.

Here’s how to build your own: 1. Get ChatGPT4 (the paid one) 2. Go here: https://chat.openai.com/gpts/editor 3. Stay in Create and simply answer the questions it asks with as much detail as you can

And that’s pretty much it. It’ll help you create a logo, a name, what it does, rules, starting questions and also load data. The hardest thing is thinking of what you’d like to build.

If you make something decent, you’re soon going to be able to sell them on the ‘GPT store’ (coming later this month) and make money. So there’s a lot of people now scratching their heads as to what they could build - including me.

Example GPTs

Let’s have a look at a few examples.

On the OpenAI site, ChatGPT provides some samples to click into and try out, though a lot of them are fairly novel, e.g. sticker whiz, sous chef.

I also managed to find what looks like an unofficial version of the GPT Store: https://gptstore.ai/ which contains a few more interesting versions. Lots of people are sharing their GPT links on X, LinkedIn, etc. too so look out for those.

This one calls itself a ‘Social Media Guru and AI Mentor’, so I gave it a couple of tests on subjects I know well.
