Build Coaching in 2025

Build Coaching in 2025

I offer leadership coaching for nonprofit founders, Executive Directors, fundraisers and senior leaders working towards social justice.

Incredible, loving, wise coaches made it possible for me to lead a nonprofit for over a decade. It's a joy to now support nonprofit leaders as a coach.

What BUILD leadership coaching will look like in 2025:

We meet for two 90-minute video coaching sessions each month. That gives us enough time for a blend of strategy, tactical, and personal development topics in each conversation.

That’s 20 coaching sessions total over 10 months. Between intense weeks that aren't conducive to coaching, and time for rest, we'll take 2 months off during 2025.

One session will be an observation of you at work — you choose the scenario.

This means from the top of the year, 30 hours of your 2025 will be locked in and devoted to the most important work of leading an organization:

This is time you’re protecting for

  • Grappling with strategy questions about your organization, programs, and growth
  • Developing clarity and I-can-fundraise-through-an-unfolding-polycrisis level confidence in your vision?
  • Prioritizing your work and identifying what you can delegate or forego
  • Building your network so you aren’t leading from a place of isolation
  • Strengthening your mindset despite the onslaught of painful news
  • Preparing carefully and intentionally for critical decisions, meetings and conversations
  • Slowing down & processing the experience of leadership -- What matters most? What are you learning? How are you actually doing? What are your emotions and reactions (suppressed and expressed) informing you about?
  • Taking the mask off: sharing more honestly your fears, hurts, despair, doubts, hopes, dreams, and wild ideas. Inspiration and love can move through you when you aren’t spending all of your energy pretending to have it together. ?
  • Reconnecting to the agency and power you have to care for your corner of the world
  • Proactively identifying the skills you want to build and hone as you drink from the firehose
  • Learning how to take better care of yourself, your body, your spirit and your creativity
  • Creating a spiritual practice to dig deeper in bleak times
  • Navigating relationships with constituents, partners and donors under increased pressure
  • Steering out of burnout

You will have the accountability of doing this deep thinking together with me in your coaching sessions.

Why?

So that you don't hide in the day-to-day grind, spiral or stall over decisions, schedule over your “reflect and strategize” time & deep work blocks, or numb over the different emotions, mental states and sensations that arise while serving in a high-pressure leadership role.

What do leaders say about Build coaching?

“The best professional development I’ve ever done.”

“Why did I spend that money on HBS?”

“You’re a gem, a sage, a yoda, a rock. I think I would have resigned without this space.”

“In my lowest moments I’ve turned to materials you’ve shared with me and reflected on conversations we’ve had.”

“I used to think I needed to just push aside scary big, existential questions and my emotions to lead. It's been literally life-giving to work with you over the last 1.5 years.”

“I am amazed by the progress we made in 7 months. I can genuinely say that your coaching was life-changing and it was the first time in a very long time that I made a true investment in myself. It's been everything. In the beginning the coaching felt like it was non-work related, but I appreciate you always pushing me to reflect and go deep, so that by the end of the coaching I'm able to answer ‘How do I feel more joy while at work?’ I am more confident in my leadership, I feel more comfortable setting work boundaries and experiencing more joy outside of work, all because it strengthens my leadership.”

If you know you want coaching support in 2025, let's talk.

You can schedule an intro call here.

If you need to connect before the end of the calendar year, send me a DM or an email at alexisrmorin @ me dot com.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and learning about your work.

With love,

Alexis

“Bodhisattvas, we were born into these times on purpose.

We are not placed into easy times, only the most dire.

The ancestors selected you.

‘Send this one, she is ready, she will be our vehicle, our representative for this challenge.’

Draw them into your heart.

Be encouraged, feel supported by them.

Know that you have been ordained.

Speak with their authority and with their trust, with their fire and their urgency.

Be fearless, beloveds.”
