Build Bridges For Germany and Uzbekistan Teaching & Learning German with eTwinning!

Fantastic to be part of the week-long Uzbekistan Summer School 2024 sponsored by the German-Uzbekistan School Network InGeZa (Intercultural German Studies from a Central Asian Perspective).

Today we spoke about eTwinning ?and how to digitally network schools worldwide as part of the PASCH initiative “Schools: Partners for the Future - An Educational Initiative of the Goethe-Institute” with German teachers Uta Steinel-Schrenk and Christiane Eichel and Uzbekistani teacher Zuhra Otaniyozova. Thanks to Simon Kretschmer from the Goethe Institute for the organization and continual support!

Teachers and Teacher Trainers from Germany and Uzbekistan Discuss eTwinning Collaborations for 2024 and 2025

The German-Uzbek university partnership involves the Institute of German Studies at the University of Münster (UM) and the German departments at Bukhara State University (BuxDU), Chirchiq State Pedagogical University (CPDU), Termez State University (TerDU), and Urgench State University

(UrDU). The collaboration focuses on academic exchange, intercultural communication, university didactics, and digital teaching and learning. It's truly a unique network in the Central Asian region, promoting innovative projects in these areas. Additionally, it enhances both regional and international dialogue concerning the challenges that social change presents to intercultural German studies. The partnership heavily emphasizes the exchange of students, doctoral candidates, and teachers.

We were able to reach out to a number of teachers and future teachers for exciting eTwinning projects for the next year!? Very exciting to build bridges with language study!
