Kimberly Spencer (00:00:05) - Welcome to the Communication Queens podcast for the visionary leaders, speakers, service providers and podcasters who are looking to stand out sharing their story. I'm your host, Kimberly Spencer, former screenwriter turned master communications coach. On this podcast, I'll be coaching you on how to share your own transformation story. To that, you increase your visibility, influence, and income on podcast interviews. Let's get your voice heard.

Kimberly Spencer (00:00:31) - Hello Communication Queens, and welcome back to another communication Queen quickie. I am your host, Kimberly Spencer. Today I am so excited to to dive into this one simple step. This one tiny, tiny, tiny little infinitesimal, tiny, tiny little infinitesimal detail that makes all the difference in establishing your authority as an expert in your field and in your industry. Are you ready for it? You're on the edge of your seats. I can feel it. Have someone introduce you. This is the piece as to why podcast guesting works so well for conversions and leads and client generation. Because you have somebody where there is already an establishment of trust and of an audience that has tuned in and listened and leaned in and bought into the the and has rapport with this person, with this host, and then they're introducing you.

Kimberly Spencer (00:01:34) - They are positioning you as an expert. Now this just doesn't have to be on podcasts. This can be in your webinar. You could have your team member introduce you to you. And this was a huge shift that we had in some roundtables that I facilitate for a group called the Dames for six, seven and eight figure business women. So if you're making six, 7 or 8 figures as a female entrepreneur or doing that in your corporate career, the Dames is an amazing group. I will leave a link below, but I facilitate with the founder making sure the the round tables and we pivot. When I came on board, I said we have to immediately pivot this because in the roundtable we're we're opening people up for to join, to come into the dames community. And I'm me. I don't have to establish my expertise. I'm part of the community. I'm facilitating it with the founder. But I said, I have to introduce you because there's a reason why. At the Academy Awards, you have a host who's introducing people.

Kimberly Spencer (00:02:43) - There's a reason why at every awards presentation, there's an emcee who is introducing speakers. It the concept of introductions establishes authority and Buy-In, simply because how often do you believe someone when they're like, I'm this amazing, I did this, I'm so often when we hear that from somebody else, we're like, oh my gosh, they're, you know, they can maybe have a little bit of an ego. They,, brag about themselves like, it sounds like bragging. And so some in in the audience's mind, it can make the audience feel like,? Okay, cool. They've done all that. But if you have somebody who's like, oh my gosh, let me tell you about so-and-so and how amazing they are and what they've done. And wow. And so you literally have somebody who's building up your reputation. This is the concept in,, Jonah Turner's book Contagious of Social Proof, just by having somebody else vouch for your authority, your experience, your expertise, your accolades. They are providing social proof.

Kimberly Spencer (00:03:58) - About you. This is again why podcasting and guest podcasting works so well because they are the guests. The host of the podcast is establishing you as the authority in whatever it is that you do in your industry. They're establishing you as an as an expert. So just by that engagement, by having that interaction with somebody else introducing you, it automatically creates buy in in the eyes of the audience because they have social proof that, oh, if that person likes this person, then I might too. So who could you have introduce you for your events, your webinars, your workshops, and or your podcasts? If this episode served, please share this with one friend. Ideally, share it with a friend who are like, let's co introduce each other. Like, let me introduce you on my next webinar or my next five, you know, day challenge and vice versa. So you guys both get to establish that authority for each other and build that social proof in the eyes of each other's audience. Share this with that person.

Kimberly Spencer (00:05:15) - And thank you so much in advance for all of the amazing reviews that you are leaving. I so appreciate it. We are so excited to be seeing the Communication Queens podcast growing and serving in such an impactful way. Thank you so much and we will see you in the next episode.

This might be my new favorite newsletter. (Sorry for blowing up your notifications lol) One thing I'm curious about is the logistics of setting up these introductions. You suggest approaching colleagues or peers for co-introductions on webinars or workshops. Do you have any thoughts on how to initiate these conversations and make the exchange mutually beneficial? tuneshare more_vert
