Build #34 - The real role of leaders

Build #34 - The real role of leaders

I had a thought about leading a business as a founder having listened to a podcast recently

Your real role as a business leader is to know when to:

  • step up,
  • step in, or
  • step out

Stepping up makes space for others to lead.

Stepping in stops a spark becoming a bonfire.

Stepping out to disconnect proves you’re creating a sustainable, long term company.

This perpetual dance is what makes leaders.

They’re intentional in choosing the move they’re making. They have conscious actions, behaviours and rituals to execute their chosen step.

And it’s rarely a sequence of the same steps.

So what step do you need to take today?
