#BugendaiNoble: Small steps to a better world

Thank you BugendaiTech for such a blissful opportunity in my birth month. For those who are new to our social responsibility initiative; BugendaiTech has multiple nonprofit works going throughout the year including the Pledge1% just like Salesforce’s habit of #Givingback. This one is about #BugendaiTech giving its employees $100 on their birthdays for charity under their #BugendaiNoble program. 

I have donated this amount to one of the orphanages in Lucknow. I have been to this orphanage since my childhood when my father used to donate every year on the occasion of the death anniversary of my grandma. Since then, even after losing my father in 2007, I visit this place every year, but the irony is that now I go there on my father's death anniversary. 

Other than that, there’s another reason that I go back to this place. In 2007, after the last rites of my father, my whole family went to offer lunch for those forsaken, an incident changed my vision of how ungrateful we can get in our day to day lives. Once we served them food and were waiting for them to start, we saw them offer their prayers first. They were thanking God for offering food on their plate on that day.

We never thought that people are struggling to have even one meal a day, whereas we never realize our good destiny. After the prayer, one of them came to thank us. We all had tears in our eyes that day, even today as I write this note.

So, value what you have instead of craving for what you don't. “Hustle in life. There's nothing which you can't achieve until you are breathing.”

We have also been able to help many nonprofits by enabling them to do more and become empowered with the help of technology solutions like Wordpress, Salesforce and the Power of Us Hub and Data Science.
