Bug hunting at the Web Summit
On the second day of the Web Summit , we presented our Android Bug Hunter. I also got to do a 2-minute pitch on the showcase stage explaining the product's functionality and all the good stuff, which attracted many people to our stand.?
Imagine the pain of using one app for color picking, another for adding device details to screens, and yet another for recording a video to showcase a bug. Jumping from one screen to another turns the already challenging routine of testing Android apps into a cumbersome and tedious process, consuming time and draining the team's energy.
Since we couldn't find a tool on the market that would address all of our needs and pain points, we decided to build it ourselves. Not only to boost speed and precision, which is key for the success of a QA agency, but also to make the lives of Android testers and small teams a bit easier. And the best thing of all: it's free to use for everyone.
Bug Hunter is a tool developed by QAwerk agency – a company that QAwerk spun off from my main business, Redwerk .
QAwerk has been around since 2015, working in the web3 and web2 spaces (including mobile apps). Among our clients, we have well-known products such as Unfold , which has over 1 billion users; MM – the leading social fitness app in the UK; and Keystone Education Group – Norway's top study portal.
In total, our Bug Hunter stand was visited by almost 150 attendees, including people from Airbnb , Remote , TED Conferences , 西门子 , and Revolut .
Do you test apps regularly? What tools do you use? Please share in the comments.
