Buffalo's favorite restaurants: Hutch's, Left Bank, Oliver's and more

Let's hear it for Hutch's Restaurant, the Delaware Avenue staple that returns for the second year in a row as our readers' favorite local restaurant .

That's even more impressive than it sounds, considering our Restaurant Survey got nearly twice as many votes this year as it did last year and Hutch's remained head and shoulders above the other restaurants our readers named. (What’s the secret? Tracey Drury talked to Mark Hutchinson, owner of Hutch’s, to learn more about his career and how he got his restaurant to where it is today .)

Business First readers were fairly unanimous about their favorite restaurants, but when it comes to specialties, we saw a lot more variety. (Our readers gave us 103 different favorite places to grab a drink!) In some cases, the responses were too widespread to come up with clear favorites. For the rest, we share the results separately .

“It’s new, it’s different, and there’s a change in the way things are being done, and that’s always a concern for employers,” said?Amy Hemenway, partner at Harter Secrest & Emery LLP . “Employers and employees want consistency. They want to know what to expect. The guidance that’s come out isn’t super clear, and there are a lot of unknowns.”
