Bubbles

In these tumultuous times, I wanted to share a poem that I wrote when I was about 14 years old. The Corona Virus reminds us that although we follow different religions (if at all), have different skin colours, speak different languages, live in various countries, have different perspectives and different cultures, traditions and beliefs, we share a common humanity of vulnerability to a rampant disease. Can we ALL come together and forget our differences and be a world community or is it going to take an alien invasion to unite us as denizens of this fragile globe????

Bubbles

Crystal forms all floating free;

Wafted along on the breathe of time,

Each a delicate melody;

Of nebulous grief:

And joy sublime,

The fierce reds;

The teary pinks;

The envious greens:

And lonely blues,

All jostle, crowd and gently sink;

To liquid mist:

Of a thousand dews!
