BTF - Behind the Fun - Jennifer Beulah

As a company we don't discriminate between work and fun at TOSS the COIN. We take our work seriously and take our fun just as seriously.

We were recently coordinating a Fun box event for a client. As a part of it we were curating a comedy interaction that was initially to be conducted by an in-house stand-up comedian from the client end. As it invariably happens with events planned to the t, there were last minute issues things worked out such that the stand-up comedian couldn't facilitate the show for us. We were ready with the solution of bringing in a stand-up comedian to take the in-house one's place and things were sorted.

The facilitator from TOSS the COIN for this session was Jennifer. Megha and I who were coordinating the event for TTC decided to have some fun with Jennifer and pull a prank on her. We told Jennifer that she was going to have to handle the whole session, joke and facilitate things end-to-end. We managed to do it with a straight face!

Jennifer's reaction was initially just what we expected. She said "People, please don't do this to me! I can't do comedy. My jokes will fall flat and it won't turn out right". Megha and I were congratulating ourselves for taking the mickey out of Jennifer and were about to tell her that things were okay, Jennifer said "But if you tell me to, I will do it." I asked "Won't that be extremely tough for you?" She replied "Well Rash if you tell me you need me to do this, of course I will"

Trust falls at TTC are super easy because of this. We know every single person in the office will be ready to catch you if you were to fall. All of us are ready to step outside of our comfort zone to ensure deliverables are met not just for our own projects but each other's, with a huge smile on our face.

This started out with Megha and I pulling Jennifer's leg, but it ended with both of us falling more in love with Jenni's attitude and our work culture. Here's to more leg pulling and love!

How disappointing for a wannabe in-house stand-up comedian of TOSS the COIN ??

Jennifer Beulah is a gem of a human being who never ceases to surprise us whether it is her impeccable designing skills or recently witnessed writing skills :)
