What scary things have been happening in the Elevey world in the past weeks?! ??

Sally unwrapped a secret she had been hiding, yes that's right her bookkeeping services. As most of you will know Brady Snr is a numbers fanatic and loves to keep everything up to date (apparently she doesn't quite like keeping you guys up to date though ??). Don't worry she isn't boring or believe it or not she is a fortune teller with all the visibility she brings! ??

Georgia is not quite so secretive about all the wisdom she offers. In fact,?a little birdie tells us that she may be looking for one of you to join her Beta squad for Facebook and Instagram Ads.?

In other news there will be a grand reveal of something new and exciting coming to Elevey...any guesses as to what it may be? ???

What Is A VAT Receipt???

This is something I know causes confusion amongst many business owners, I often get given a “debit/credit card receipt” and told here you are here’s my receipt…but this is not a receipt its just a card transaction so not even sufficient for the non-registered VAT owners amongst you.

A VAT Receipt or Receipt has the full information of what you are buying and the details of the business, for VAT receipts the most important part is the VAT number as you can see from the attached receipts, this particular receipt details the breakdown of the Goods, the VAT rate 20% and the amount of VAT paid so this is perfect for your VAT/Invoice records.

The second receipt is just the debit/credit card transaction copy telling me I spent ￡8.95 at Roadchef nothing more and if this is all you have you cannot reclaim the VAT, I’m afraid so DON’T!

My message to you this week is to make sure you have the correct information for your business to enable you to fully expense your Coffee’s and more like me!
