Visualizing Neuronal Activity with High-Speed Voltage Imaging
With Bruker's OptoVolt Module
Bruker's new OptoVolt Module was featured in a recent Innovation Spotlight article in The Scientist . Read it here: https://goto.bruker.com/4ghdth4
Our very own Jimmy Fong was interviewed and spoke about the emerging field of voltage imaging and how OptoVolt was developed to support experiments combining deep, live imaging of brain activity with behavioral measurements and optogenetic photostimulation of neurons.
OptoVolt is a modular addition to the Ultima 2Pplus microscope and uses multiplication optics that enhance speed and resolution for high-speed voltage imaging.
These multiplication optics re-route the resonant scanning beam for customized aspheric microlens arrays. The scan speed is multiplied up with the microlens array and the resulting multiplication factor is based on the number of microlenses scanned across. This innovative module is seamlessly integrated with the Ultima 2Pplus multiphoton microscope and lets researchers build upon their existing microscope system as their research develops.

FT-IR Spectroscopy in Food Pathogen Detection
Coming Soon…
At the end of last year, we had the opportunity to accompany and interview Dr. Francis Muchaamba, a veterinarian specializing in food safety and molecular microbiology, at the Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene, VetSuisse in Zurich, Switzerland. VetSuisse is a premier institution renowned for its cutting-edge research and comprehensive veterinary services, providing the perfect backdrop for our deep dive into the IR Biotyper?.?
Soon, the video will be released, including exclusive interview snippets that didn't make it into the final cut. Are you interested in why MALDI-TOF MS and FT-IR spectroscopy are the perfect match and therefore act as a dream team in the lab, in real-time monitoring and source-tracking in food manufacturing, in Bruker as a cooperation partner, and in the differentiation of Listeria monocytogenes serogroups by FT-IR spectroscopy? Then sign up here to be among the first to receive the information!
