Bruce's BLOG

July 11, 2018

As I sit here at my 6th Esri UC in sunny San Diego, this is the first year I have been here as the CEO of our own company. The last two months have been a whirlwind filled with excitement, fear, careful calculation, and exuberance.  GEOGRAPH Technologies officially acquired the CrescentLink product from our friends and partners at Palmetto Engineering and Consulting on June 29th. This move will make both sides more focused and competitive without the undue pressure of trying to manage and fund two different business strategies. So after 20 years of telecom consulting engineering, I partnered with three of the best men I know to start this endeavor. I would like to pretend that I am a visionary, a problem solver and a great leader. What I really am is blessed. Blessed to be taught and mentored by great people. Blessed to have met and partnered with some of the brightest minds in our industry. Blessed to have the opportunity to continue the relationships, and products that the CrescentLink family have come to expect. GIS adoption in the Telecom industry is accelerating, and the team here at GEOGRAPH is excited to be at the forefront. If the past three weeks have taught me anything, it’s that if you are honest, respectful, and humble nothing can stand in your way. Since transferring the CrescentLink product from Palmetto to GEOGRAPH Technologies, we have received nothing but encouraging and supportive responses from our users. We have also added two new users to the family in that same time span. Currently we are on schedule to meet our goals for this year and I am confident that our growth will continue and exceed our expectations. This couldn't have happened without the support of our community, our staff and our willingness to step out and take on this responsibility. It will be my commitment to our users and our industry to be on the cutting edge of technology, be responsive to our users needs and to create a work environment that promotes success and well being for our employees. If what the last month has shown me, its that we are only scratching the surface, and I am blessed to be a part of it. Until Next Time God Bless, and Map on!
