Brown & Brown Miami Lakes, Homestead merge to form Brown & Brown Miami-Dade

MIAMI, Fla., Sept. 3, 2020 - Brown & Brown, Inc. (NYSE:BRO) announces the merger of its offices located in Miami Lakes and Homestead, Florida, effective Sept. 1, 2020. This newly formed business unit will now operate as Brown & Brown Miami-Dade and will be led by Brown & Brown Executive Vice President Norman Morris. Morris, a 30-plus year veteran of the insurance industry, most recently managed the Brown & Brown Homestead operations. Brown & Brown Miami-Dade will continue to maintain two locations in Miami-Dade County: one in Homestead and one in Miami Lakes. The Miami Lakes office will relocate to Doral, Florida, in January 2021. Brown & Brown Miami-Dade provides insurance solutions to individuals, families, and businesses and specializes in property & casualty, risk management, surety, and employee benefits.

Fausto Alvarez, who previously managed the Miami Lakes office, will continue to be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team in growing the Miami-Dade business and in Brown & Brown’s involvement in the community.
