Money Day Greetings my leader. I hope l find you well and thriving in all spheres of life.
Today l decided to rewind and walk down memory lane as l learn from past mistakes and fail forward.
Many years ago l used to be a banker in one of the most exciting and fastest growing banks in Zimbabwe. My career path was very clear as the Customer Service Manager l was earmarked to move on to a bigger branch as the Operations Manager. Every thing was agreed and it was simply waiting for the other branch to be opened according to set times and schedules.
As fate would have it l decided to invite my then best friend who was a former colleague in our previous bank to join as as a fairly senior officer. Apparently the guy had other ideas and was jealous of me. Once l brought him into the system he started talking ill of me and inculcate a series of malicious gossip against me. In no time l lost ground and favor. After a while he was promoted and deployed to the position which l knew for years had been promised to me. That shattered me as the full cycle of his betrayal came fully into my face. I decided to tender my resignation and stayed home for two months but thankfully l soon got another job and forgot about my (friend-enemy) aka frenemy.
One year down the line my friend was Soaring and decided to trust a few young people with his safe custody keys. The kids decided to steal the traveler's cheques and sell them to the market dealers at the black market. The bank lost millions, and losing money is not tolerated in the bank. So my friend was duly dismissed and blacklisted in the industry. A year later he died of depression.
He had so much potential which came to a grinding halt. I still mourn his loss twenty years on. But l learnt a number of lessons from the whole debacle.
1.Relationships are more important than money.
2.Status can change at any given point.
3 Forgiveness is always better than revenge
4.Everything under the sun happens for a reason.
5.The throne of God is built on holiness and justice.
6.To the faithful God shows Himself faithful but to the shrewd He is also shrewd.
7.No matter how smart you are you will reap what you sow.
8.Betrayal is never the issue but the pain is the trust you had invested in the betrayer.
9.Do not allow your view of people to be obliterated by the pains of the past.
10.The best of friends will destroy you, but do not kill yourself because of selfish ego maniacs.

11.Do not envy what is not yours, God is still processing your miracle.
12.Time and seasons are in the lap of Jehovah God.
13.Short cuts look enticing but their end is bitter and painful.
14.Run away from any friend who says something to you and does something different.
15.Be wise enough to know who tolerates you and who celebrates you.
16.Avoid people who shoot down those are not there because you will be next in line.
17.ln all that you do, never seek to be right with people but choose to honor God with your life and attitudes.
18.The throne of God is built on the foundation of Holiness and Justice and one day He will pass the verdict in this life for all to see.
19.Time is the true reflector of the wrong and the right.
20. Forgive your enemies so that they carry the burden of their guilt.
21. People are people do not trust them too much, leave room for disappointment.
22. No matter what, live, love and add value whenever you can.
I hope you can learn a thing or two but just remember in 100 years time we will all be dead. How will our story be told?
Jesus Christ is the Ultimate leader. Follow Him and many will follow you. Always remember that forgiveness is something that you do for your mental health. No matter the matter keep loving people but remember they come in all forms and sizes.
Yesterday ended last night. Today is a brand new day. Success is an attitude let us meet at the top.
