One of the first things I noticed when I started at JBR Capital was how welcoming everyone was. Not just in the Compliance team, but across the entire business, people go out of their way to introduce themselves and make you feel a part of the wider team, which is a great way to get embedded in the culture of the business. And getting to know people on a personal level makes working together far easier, as you feel confident around one another.??
Working with other departments is a great way to settle in and learn the ropes.?
Our department works in close collaboration with some of JBR Capital’s other teams, such as Finance and Credit. Working with colleagues in these departments supplements my learning and has helped me gain a broader understanding of the industry and what it takes to create a perfect experience for our customers at JBR Capital. Having previously worked for an investment bank, it’s really useful to know that I can build my knowledge of a different sector like high-end automotive finance industry by working closely with my colleagues.?
Everyone’s voice matters, regardless of seniority.?
?We’re quite a small team in Compliance, which means we can work through things together quite quickly. Being a close-knit team, we can learn from each other by sharing knowledge and collaborating on projects together, and we know that if we have an idea or a question, we’re going to be listened to.??
Having previously worked for larger companies, I’ve known what it’s like to feel like a small cog within a big machine. However, at a smaller company like JBR Capital, I’ve realised the value of greater exposure to how a business functions, and getting to work with more senior colleagues pretty much from the moment I joined the company.?

A passion for cars always helps, and I found my passion early.?
?My interest in cars is something that steered me towards JBR Capital in the first place, and this passion came from my dad when I was little. I must have been about five when he got me into cars, and since then, I’ve continued to love them. We’ve been on track days at Silverstone together, which are so much fun. Racing a Porsche around Silverstone, learning different techniques about car control is something that I would do again in a heartbeat.??
If I could pick a dream car, it would have to be either an Aston Martin Vantage or DB5, or possibly a 911 – the list is endless really!?
Absorbing different cultures and seeing the world helps broaden the horizons.??
Outside of work, I love travelling and visiting new places. I’ve recently been to Milan and Stockholm, which were both amazing but for vastly different reasons, of course. I really enjoy visiting different cities and experiencing different cultures, so I’m keen to see more of Scandinavia in particular!??
I’ve also just moved out of the family home, so I’m trying to improve my cooking skills. I absolutely love Japanese food, so I’m working on learning to make sushi. It’s not easy, but I like to think I’m making progress!
