A subtle but highly malignant form of Islamophobia is circulating around the discussion of the 2024 UK terror riots. When confronted about their crimes, the terrorists blame their actions on misinformation about the person who committed the murder which triggered these racist riots. They were incorrectly told that the murderer was a Muslim asylum seeker.
This is their justification for setting fire to hotels housing asylum seekers, attacking Muslim interests such as shops and mosques, and indiscriminately terrorising the wider Muslim community.
With this line of reasoning, if the murderer was indeed a Muslim or an asylum seeker, then the rioters would have been perfectly justified to burn down hotels with asylum seekers inside them, and conduct a collective punishment pogrom of the entire 4 million UK Muslim community.
The mainstream media is also silently going along with this disturbing argument.
British Values or Brutish Values?
The intellectual decline of the UK has reached the stage where foreigners must now teach the indigenous British population about their own so-called British values such as “the rule of law” (it is contrary to UK law for a mob to attack a community as a collective punishment of the crime of one individual) and “mutual respect, tolerance and understanding of different faiths and beliefs” (don’t be a bigoted racist).
After COVID I thought there there may be a realization of an interconnected world in which we all need to get along together (which is probably reflective of my naivety about people's intentions). Unfortunately the world is more polarized than ever, which unnecessary conflicts predominant.

7 个月Any thoughts on the many peaceful protesters stating that they are worried about the very high levels of net migration, be it legal e.g. visas or other means ? People do not have an issue with immigration per se but quite frankly the net migration numbers in recent years have been ridiculous. Its a volume of people issue, simple mathematics. It's a serious issue in many peoples eyes. Not only have there been societal integration issue but what about the downward pressures on the salaries of the lower paid, or the huge financial costs dealing with boat arrivals, be it 3* hotels, handouts etc. when the many are struggling hand to mouth. What is it £5bn a year on hotels alone. A huge sum. What about the detrimental pressures on housing/education/health demand and supply imbalances. These issues need to be addressed Rioting and vandalism is not the answer but only a fool would close their eyes to the underlying seeds of discontent. Its not rocket science. When discontent exists innocent people suffer as we are now seeing. The first point of call for any problem is to listen and take it from there. Those in authority should never shy away from this common sense approach.
