British Columbia held a new draw under the BCPNP
On December 3, 2024, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) held its first draw of the month, issuing invitations to skilled workers in various sectors. This draw is a vital part of the province’s efforts to attract talent and fill critical labour shortages.
In this latest round, up to 21 invitations were issued under the skills immigration stream, with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 102 to 141. The targeted occupations for this draw included essential fields such as childcare, construction, healthcare, and technology—underscoring the diverse needs of British Columbia's economy.
Specifically, the tech sector saw up to five candidates receiving invitations, with a minimum score of 141 points required to qualify. In the childcare sector, up to five ITAs (Invitations to Apply) were granted to candidates for early childhood educator positions (NOC 42202), with scores starting at 102 points. The healthcare sector also received attention, with six ITAs awarded to candidates who achieved at least 121 points. The construction industry was another focus, inviting up to five candidates whose scores reached a minimum of 108 points.
