British Columbia, Alberta, & PEI Selects Candidates
British Columbia, Alberta, and Prince Edward Island (PEI) have issued invitations to candidates in several in-demand occupations through their respective Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). ?Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)?allow provincial governments to choose economic immigration candidates who can well-establish themselves within the respective province. Selected candidates receive an Expression of Interest (EOI) letter to apply for provincial nomination, enhancing their application for?permanent resident status in Canada.
Applicants have two pathways to apply through a?Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) - through direct application to a PNP program, termed base nomination, or through selection by a provincial government via the?Express Entry?application pool, termed enhanced nomination. Successful candidates nominated by a province through Express Entry automatically earn an extra 600?Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)?points on their?Express Entry?application.

British Columbia | via British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC-PNP)
On February 21, British Columbia held a draw through its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) the BC-PNP, inviting candidates from various backgrounds, issuing a total of 213 invitations. 69 invitations were issued to skilled workers and international graduates in a general draw, with a minimum score of 126 points. A targeted draw for childcare workers resulted in 70 invitations, requiring a minimum score of 60 points. Construction workers received 32 invitations, needing a score of 75. Healthcare workers received 41 invitations, with a minimum score of 60 points. The draw for veterinary care workers resulted in fewer than 5 invitations being issued, with a minimum score requirement of 60.
Earlier to this, the BC-PNP issued 200 ITAs to skilled workers and international graduates in five different high-demand sectors. For Childcare, 54 invitations were issued to Skilled Workers and International Graduates, including the EEBC option, with a minimum score requirement of 60. In Construction, 27 invitations were issued with a minimum score of 75. Healthcare saw 41 invitations issued with a minimum score of 60. In the Tech sector, 77 invitations were issued with a minimum score of 108. Veterinary care had fewer than 5 invitations issued with a minimum score of 60.

Alberta | via Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)
Early this February, Alberta issued 44 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to candidates with professional healthcare experience through the "Dedicated Healthcare Pathway with Alberta job offer" under the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP).
Candidates eligible for invitation were required to have healthcare experience within the province and secure a job offer from an employer in Alberta. The minimum cut-off score to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) was 302.
Prince Edward Island | via PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
PEI issued 121 Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to Labour and Express Entry candidates in the PEI Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Candidates were eligible if they were currently employed by a PEI employer and had a minimum EOI score of 65. In the past 12 months, the province has invited a total of 2,307 candidates, with 2,253 Expressions of Interest allocated to Labour and Express Entry candidates, while 54 were assigned to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates.
