British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba Invite Candidates in Latest PNP Results

Prospective candidates are strongly encouraged to submit provincial nomination applications to three provinces in Canada. Provincial governments extend application periods for individuals they believe have the potential to rapidly assimilate into the economy and contribute to the growth of the local workforce by addressing urgent shortages in in-demand sectors. Such individuals are invited to apply through Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

Enhanced nomination is the process via which provinces select candidates from individuals who apply either directly to the provincial government (base nomination) or through the federal Express Entry pool of applications.

While there is a distinction between being nominated through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and obtaining permanent residence status, the former enhances an application.?? The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) requires nominated applicants to submit a separate application.

British Columbia, a province in Canada

In the latest British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) draw held on October 11, over 180 applicants were invited by the province of British Columbia.

The province conducted four specialized draws for candidates in the International Graduate and Skilled Worker categories, which also included Express Entry applications. There were 118 individuals aspiring for tech-related jobs, constituting the largest audience.?? A score of at least 90 was required for consideration.

These are the last three possible results of the draw.?? Applicants for each occupation must achieve a minimum score of 60.

• A total of 45 educators and staff members specializing in early childhood education.
• There are 17 different occupations in the healthcare field.
• There are fewer than five other high-priority vocations.

The Manitoba

Manitoba held four lotteries on October 5 and requested nomination applications from 542 individuals.

Two of the drawings featured candidates in the Manitoba category of Skilled Workers. In the first, 219 people who were employed in occupations classified under major groups of the National Occupational Classification (NOC) 2021 were drawn.

610 was the minimum score required for candidates to be considered.

The second skilled worker draw was random, thus applicants were not given any special treatment. The province invited 222 people with a minimum score of 629.

The previous two drawings were open to everyone and included 60 international education applicants and 41 skilled worker overseas candidates with a minimum score of 601.

Canada Alberta

Thirteen candidates from the Alberta Job Offer stream of the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program were selected to take part in a minor draw conducted on October 10.?? In order to qualify for Express Entry in this category, applicants must possess a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 327.

Alberta has received 1,462 nominations for candidates in this stream for 2023, indicating that there are now fewer than 10 applications awaiting review.?? Additionally, it indicates that there are approximately 1,383 allocations remaining.
