INTRODUCTION

We were very happy to launch the 2023 Edition of the Great Awards & Gala Dinner earlier this month, don’t miss out on a true celebration which we will do in style! Friday 9th?June at The Reverie Hotel.?The event will recognize excellence within our community so please make sure to nominate yourself or customers/suppliers/partners – See you there!

I was also very happy to renew our National Sponsorship with British University Vietnam, we have a very successful long standing partnership and I very much look forward to developing this in the coming year and beyond. We also recently welcomed a new sponsor to BritCham, Asia Counsel. We look forward to engaging with them along with introducing them to our business community, building a strong relationship for the future.

On 22nd?April, Mr. Nitin Kapoor, attends the Prime Minister’s annual meeting with FDI community at the Office of the Government in Hanoi.




National Master Plan - Conference

Prime Minister Chinh chaired a teleconference on 20 April to launch the National Master Plan for 2021 - 2030 with a vision to 2050. BritCham has extended the invitation to all members.


Vietnam's Government Approves Proposal To Reduce Tax By 2%

After a persistent advocacy effort, the government has just approved a MOF’s proposal to reduce the VAT by 2% for all goods and services that are currently taxed at 10%. BritCham has been taken part in raising this proposal alongside other organisations.

REVISED DRAFT LAW ON E-TRANSACTIONS

The draft amended Law on E-Transactions was first released on 4 May 2022 by the MIC. The new law is expected to update and refine the existing legal framework to keep pace with the potential ramifications of the rapidly evolving landscape of e-commerce and digital technology.
