BRISKEBY (HA): Guatemalan journalist Andres ADF and Lenin Raimundo were present to cover the nation's favorite football player, Nicholas Hagen (25).
It takes between 16 and 17 hours to travel from Norway to the populous nation of Central America. But the independent journalist Andrés Niederheitmann and DT Lenin Raimundo had traveled from Spain and Germany, respectively, where they live, to give the motherland some reports from Norway, Hamar and Briskeby, where the country's great football icon, Nicholas Hagen, lives.
After the match against Fredrikstad, Hagen spent a lot of time talking to the duo, who filmed, took photos of him and recorded and interview.
He admits that it is great to have a visit from home.
- It's fantastic! I am proud to be from Guatemala and I always feel the support of the people.
They wanted to be on the pitch to experience the game, and we did, he says, noting that the duo took pictures on the grass with Hagen after the game.
- They have been with the team, the audience and they have seen how we feel here. I am happier with them, says HamKam number 96.
Hagen there is great interest from his followers and fans from his home country.
- I start everyone wondering what happened and where he was going to play. When I came here and the results started to come with us, people wanted to know what it was like here.
Now they get a better insight after a guy has done a good report from here, he says.
- Do you sympathize with them, considering the weather and climate here?
- Hehe, ha! I told them that it was cold in here, but that they wanted to come and experience it. Hopefully it was worth it for them,
he says he as the two of them stand up and warm themselves right inside the doors between the wardrobes in Briskeby.
Andres Niederheitmann enjoyed his first visit to Briskeby:
- The weather is so cold. We are not so used to this, although I am in Spain and study there. I think the people here are very nice and welcoming.
We are wonderfully impressed with the restrained manner in which we have been welcomed here.

Hopefully, Nicho will also be here next year, so we want to come back later. Going back will be a dream, he says.
Lenin Raimundo adds:
- We feel the warmth of the people here. That is my first impression. What Nicho has done very well here, makes people enthusiastic about him, he says.
The pride of the homeland
HA-sport has noticed on several occasions the enormous interest there is for Hagen in his home country.
The duo tell one that it is great for them to have a player in the highest league in a European country.
- Nicholas is very big, because we don't have many players outside the country. Hardly any player has the opportunity to travel. He rarely is it.
He first he was in Azerbaijan, and now here. It is a great step forward. The most important thing is that he plays as a starter and has won it by competing at the highest level, and not being on the bench.
We are very happy for Hagen's achievement. You can probably see on social media how happy people are with him, Niederheitmann smiles.
-He is the main goalkeeper of the national team, he gives us and the country a feeling of pride. He is important for the future project of the Guatemalan national team for the next World Cup, says Raimundo.
The duo wasted no time when they were in Norway. They came on Friday night, and they were with Hagen and they did some interviews with him, and they enjoyed the game on Saturday; they were also present.
- We will take the plane back at 06.00 on Sunday morning, they said Saturday night.
- We will be back !, they promise.
