BRINGS YOU MULTIPLE BLESSING
God’s command to us is so well brought out in the New Testament when we are told “To love our neighbour’s as ourselves.” Thai is one directive among many other passages on love – especially sited by Jesus Himself, who informed us personally that the Greatest Commandment of all was love. Primarily what God is saying to us is that without love for others, we cannot fulfil our commission amongst mankind - especially the Great Commission, to go into all the world and make disciples of men. Therefore, until we learn to love others in a similar way to how God loves others, we will never truly experience God’s presence the way He intended us to. It should also be remembered that we are constantly reminded of God’s love, and even told that “God is love.” Our Lord Jesus also told us that He only did what He saw the Father do – and the earthly ministry of Jesus was also one of Love. Our role here is to follow that example.
1 Peter 1:6-9
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honour at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
