Bringing the solutions of tomorrow to the miners of today
Australia’s premier conference on mining innovation, Austmine 2017: Mining’s Innovation Imperative, is coming to Perth’s Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 22-24.
The biennial conference and exhibition will feature more than 50 speakers from across the globe, all focussing on innovation within the mining and METS (mining equipment, technology and services) industries.
The conference brings together executive-level innovators from the mining and METS industries, senior government officials, and academics from Australia and around the world to collaborate and showcase how they are embracing innovation to increase productivity and competitiveness.
With subjects as diverse as mining asteroids, mining’s digital revolution, and developing a culture of innovation, Austmine 2017 is a conference that will put innovation at the core of a strategic discussion about the industry’s future.
Austmine CEO Christine Gibbs Stewart said innovation was the keystone which ensured miners and METS companies will remain competitive, sustainable and profitable into the future.
“The focus on innovation is alive and well within the mining industry, and many of the most leading edge products and services are developed by Australian METS,” Ms Gibbs Stewart said.
“Austmine 2017 will showcase the best technology and most innovative solutions that METS and Miners have to offer, including a number of companies who will be launching their new technology at the conference.”
“What we’re seeking to do is bring the solutions of tomorrow to the miners of today.”
Ms Gibbs Stewart also welcomed back principal sponsor Rio Tinto and applauded their continued involvement with the conference.
“Rio Tinto has been a great supporter of the conference and it’s wonderful to see large miners taking a deep interest in the innovations provided by the METS sector,” she said.
“This is the one occasion where executives from miners both large and small can get together to discuss innovation and share their technology with the industry in one place.”
Time is running out to secure the Early Bird rates which finish on 24 February; book now to save.
