Crowe Expert Spotlight: Chris Denver, Managing Director
For many people, the word “bot” connotes a work environment devoid of people, or at least one that threatens the present work environment. As an expert in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) at Crowe, I understand that a “bot,” or automation, means just the opposite. Automation efficiently provides the data that forms the backbone of our decisions. Automation enables us to have the freedom to focus on the work that matters. Automation gives us back the time we need to connect with our clients, team, and even our families.??

Improving a Process is Fulfilling and Fruitful?
With decades of proven financial management success, I have been a witness to the evolution of the finance industry as a result of automation. While RPA has transformed rapidly over these years, so too has my role as a guide in this process for my clients. My early goals were to figure out ways that I could do my job better. So I learned how to improve processes. I found that improving a process is very satisfying–doing something good for the sake of doing a good thing. As I became a consultant, I found that helping others improve their processes was even more satisfying. Automation–implementing bots to take over ground level tasks–is a powerful tool for doing just that.?

Liberation? through Automation?
My clients are my work family. And experience has taught me that, in order for a client to truly invest in me, I need to invest in them equally. This means owning their challenges as my own, and taking a personal stake in resolving them. In pursuit of my goal to help my clients make good business decisions, educating them on the latest in automation is my obligation. I have repeatedly seen how implementing automations has liberated many from the mundane, “low wattage” tasks of their daily lives so that they can focus on raising their game by taking on new tasks that add tremendous value to the team. This improves their work, their sense of self-worth, and their value to their organizations. I feel very grateful that I can participate in this process.?
Banking Time for a Healthy Work/Life Balance?
Time is valuable beyond the workplace, and automation enables clients to perform more efficiently, as well as enjoy more time ourselves. As a husband and father of four children, and “pack leader” to three enthusiastic canines, I understand the value of a healthy work-life balance. Automation is at the center of this possibility. Having the skills to do good work, make the world a better place, and help a client more easily get through their day to go home to their family, is a true blessing.?
