Bringing Everything Together

Bringing Everything Together

One of the great challenges of the human condition is the way we create huge amounts of internal conflict with our thoughts and feelings. It’s as if we’re governed by a tribe of conflicted, squabbling creatures, each screaming for our attention whilst offering wildly fluctuating ideas and emotional reactions. This has been a common feature of humanity for hundreds of thousands of years. But it’s also an invitation to learn to recognise these conflicting influences and bring about a greater level of stability to our mental and emotional framework.

The first step in the process of regulating our internal landscape is to become aware of what’s happening.

Let’s start with the realisation that you are not your thoughts and feelings. There is far more to you than the unceasing stream of consciousness that keeps you distracted from discovering your full potential. What’s needed right now is a moment of quiet reflection, a deeper breath and a short step away from your thoughts. All you need is a small space, a momentary gap between your perception and the flood of mental activity and you immediately notice a change in your old attachment to whatever happens to be passing across your mental screen. In this moment of detachment, you can choose how you want to feel. You can opt for a profound sense of peace and calm, an outpouring of joy, a feeling of profound confidence, a sense of connection to everyone and everything around you.

This subtle shift in perception is highly beneficial for your happiness and wellbeing. It’s incredibly easy to learn. It will help you to break the decades of social conditioning that are shaping the chaos in your mind. It will help you to feel more centred, balanced, empowered and capable of dealing with whatever’s on your agenda. It will improve your digestion, help you to sleep, strengthen your immune system and spur your natural creativity. Everything is connected. By freeing yourself from the unhelpful mental habits that have shaped your perception, every aspect of your life will benefit. Try it today. Make it a feature of every day and notice how much better you feel.
