?? Bringing Entrepreneurs to the Next Level
Peggy Van de Plassche??
??Health and Wellness Entrepreneur, Author, Speaker, Coach & Advisor ?? Founder of The Microdose Diet
Welcome back to The Microdose Diet a newsletter about personal and professional growth using alternative medicines, such as microdosing psychedelics. ??
In this episode, I speak with Angie Wisdom (yes, that is her name ??), coach, speaker and author of The Non-Negotiable YOU . In the past, Angie worked in financial services, she is now supporting entrepreneurs by refocusing their priorities (hint, you come first!).
She will share with you what is the concept behind The Non-Negotiable You, her top tips for more success, and the typical challenges entrepreneurs are facing.
?? Buckle up!
?? The Non-Negotiable YOU
Angie reverse-engineered all the ways entrepreneurs were getting in their own way, thus preventing themselves to show up every day as their best selves (this Non-Negotiable You).
From her experience (and I agree wholeheartedly with this perspective), the biggest block to professional success is the hyper-focus on business goals, while showing up with less than one’s full potential and capacity.
By focusing on understanding one’s values, being self-aware, trusting oneself, taking responsibilities for one’s goals, entrepreneurs can become this best version of themselves who will achieve their most important business goals.
Professional success goes through personal development first, especially when it comes to mindset. Negative self-talk, worries about others’ judgments, extreme need for control are some of the thought patterns that are blocking success.
Your mind has to be harnessed first to achieve worthy objectives.
?? Treat Yourself as The Most Important Person in Your Life
Do for yourself what you would do for the most important person in your life; respect your commitment to yourself, listen to yourself, show up for yourself, put your values first.
By journaling every morning, you can build this relationship with yourself and create self-awareness. “How do I feel?” is the first question you should ask yourself. Then, you can act on the answer, empowered to act differently and to change this state of affairs.
If you don’t know, you can’t grow.
??Ladies, Stop Overextending, Pleasing, Saying Yes to Everything
Symptoms: Overwhelm.
To ponder: Are others’ feelings more important than your goals and objectives?
Cure: Focus on your values and trust that other people will be OK with you saying “no”.
??Gents, Resign from your role of Master of the Universe
Symptoms: Control-freak.
To ponder: You can’t control the world, the markets, what people think.
Cure: Focus on what you can control, let go of what you can’t, and start delegating.
??Ladies, Drop the Perfectionism!
Symptoms: Micromanagement.
To ponder: Your intrinsic value is independent of how well you do things.
Cure: Who cares? Let others think what they want, it is their reality not yours.
You can find even many more pearls of wisdom in the recording. Listen to the episode here , on Spotify or Apple Podcasts .
Once you've finished the episode, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Comment to share your views ??
