Bringing the Cricket World Cup to life

Bringing the Cricket World Cup to life

Our dedicated studio team are finally wrapping up their work on the Cricket World Cup. We have a few final deliverables, including a tournament photo book, and that will mark the end of an epic project and tournament.

The Cricket World Cup 2019 (CWC19) local organising committee were responsible for all aspects of promotion, attendance and event delivery of the global event. They were looking for an integrated agency to work closely with their marketing team on design, artwork, print and production – to bring the marketing and communications plans to life. TwelfthMan was asked to support the team at CWC in producing engaging assets that would drive awareness and interest, and tell a compelling story across a complex integrated media plan.

We set up a dedicated project team of designers, motion designers, artworkers and project managers to plan, design and roll out the ARE YOU IN? campaign. We worked closely with CWC and partner agencies to design and produce more than 2,000 assets (static and motion) for digital, OOH and print.

Working closely with hospitality teams, we created a suite of print and digital designs for the 11 host venues and third-party sellers of hospitality packages.

Tickets are a key fan touch-point and piece of memorabilia for any World Cup. Working closely with Ticketmaster and CWC Ticketing, we created general sale, semi-final and final tickets. Our challenge was to include as much ticketing information as possible, while retaining a beautiful piece of design.

100 Days-To-Go was a significant milestone with the launch of the trophy tour, which visited 100 locations in 100 days, and we designed a suite of assets to support the CWC team with the tour activation.

In addition to marketing assets, the team worked across a number of publications including Cricketeer handbooks, driver handbooks and the programme front cover.

We also created the logo lock-up for the final (a game we'll never forget).

"TwelfthMan is the creative design & production partner for the Cricket World Cup 2019. Over the last year they have provided design, motion and publications services to the CWC19. They have a can-do and professional attitude and applied their sports and brand knowledge to help us deliver a consistent brand identity across multiple channels. We have loved partnering with TwelfthMan and delivering the World Cup campaign with absolutely outstanding design support"

Adrian Wells, Director of Marketing, Communications and Ticketing

It was an amazing opportunity to play a part in the Cricket World Cup and I’m really proud of what the team achieved.
