Bringing Clarity to the Complexity of Place?: Brand Expansion for Kettering Health
We all know a brand is an important - and usually costly - investment. Once that investment is made, how do you ensure that the new or updated brand is expressed consistently and memorably within an environment? How do you stand by your brand promise and build a thoughtful, clear journey for your patients and visitors?
Swath Design analyzes facilities and environments, strategizes visitor journeys, and designs clear wayfinding, succinct signage, and branded environments. One such project is our work for Kettering Health over the past three years. We've worked to bring all 26 health centers, 15 medical centers, and numerous physician locations under their updated brand developing a patient-centered wayfinding and signage system for its 1,800 physicians, 14,000+ employees, and the communities it serves.
In addition, Swath created a robust, easy-to-use Comprehensive Signage Standards document for Kettering Health Facilities staff. The Standards document provides clear direction for future wayfinding and signage needs including important components like message hierarchy, sign materials and fabrication methods, size and layout rules, and wayfinding protocols - all site-specific.
