Bringing Christmas Cheer to Families in Need
Christmas is a time of joy and celebration, but for many families, it can be a difficult time of year. With the added financial burden of buying presents and decorations, some families are unable to afford a Christmas tree.
That's why Christmas Tree Santas is spreading hope and joy through their mission to provide free Christmas trees to those in need. Christmas Tree Santas was founded in 2011 and we had a chance to interview Alex Gramling (Founder & President) & Christian Sbily (Community & Event Leader, Maryland) and hear about their passion for giving back. They wanted to create an organization that could bring the spirit of Christmas into homes that otherwise wouldn't have access to one.

Since then, they've been providing free trees to families across the United States who are facing financial hardship or other difficulties during the holiday season. One of the ways of the distribution process begins with individuals or organizations nominating families in need of a tree. The nominations are reviewed by volunteers who select recipients based on their individual circumstances and needs. Once selected, volunteers deliver the trees directly to each family's home along with decorations and lights if requested. The other process is annual events partnering with local businesses to provide trees at a much larger scale.
The impact of this program has been tremendous; not only do these families receive much-needed holiday cheer, but they also receive support from their local community as well as from strangers across the country who have donated money or supplies for this cause. This act of kindness has helped bring hope and joy into homes that may have otherwise gone without this holiday season.
