Bring your soil back to life!!

Bring your soil back to life!!

BactoLife Beneficial Soil Bacteria & Fungi is a balanced combination of cultured beneficial soil bacterial and fungal micro-organisms that help mobilise minerals and other essential nutrients for uptake by plants. Beneficial micro-organisms are essential to soil fertility - facilitating the plants access to nutrients, improving water use efficiency and increasing production.

Soil microbes play essential roles in maintaining healthy soils and healthy plants. They are involved in almost all nutrient transactions within the soil. The bulk of these transactions are vital for nutrient availability and exchange to our plants - be it fruit and vegetables, lawns, natives or ornamental's.

BactoLife has been produced in an easy-to-use granule form that can be quickly spread on all landscape types including turf. The granules contain a broad spectrum of trace elements which act as a food source for the beneficial microbes during their initial colonising phase.

BactoLife contains 163 Million CFU/Kg (Colony Forming Units)

Microbial species include;

  • Azotobacter - free-living nitrogen fixing bacteria
  • Bacilli - anti-pathogenic bacteria that assist in soil conditioning and building soil structure
  • Mycorrhizae - fungi that assist plants in mineral nutrient uptake, improving soil health and nutrient recycling process
  • Pseudomonas - Soldier bacteria that help protect the plant root zone and solubilise Phosphates within the soil profile
  • Rhizobium - symbiotic bacteria that fix nitrogen in the root nodules of leguminous plants
  • Trichoderma - anti-pathogenic fungi that produce plant growth regulators
