It also turns out that effective leadership helps with employee retention. Finally, do you manage/supervise/lead a team? Do you wonder if you are the best boss you can be? I think most of us do. You will find resources for leadership development at the organizational and individual levels below.
Executive Evolution
There is some helpful research in this SHRM article: CEOs Head for the Exits Amid a Changing Workplace Landscape. It isn't surprising that CEOs are affected by general workforce trends. What is unusual is the number of transitions occurring at the C-Suite level right now at both large and smaller companies. Key Quote:
"The role of the CEO is more complex now and more difficult now than at any point in corporate history,"
John-Paul Pape, global practice lead for CEO transformation at Accenture, an international consulting firm.
One reason for this complexity is that CEOs require different skill sets, including tolerance for ambiguity and adaptability now.
This blog also includes an interview with Bill George, former CEO and a Harvard Business School professor. His book True North: Emerging Leaders Edition talks about leading authentically through change.

Bring Out the Best
Executive Coach Andrew Rahaman gives us a good overview of the benefits of Leadership Development in this Forbes article.
A couple of points that stood out for me include:
