Managing stakeholders is a leadership priority across all sectors and disciplines to maneuver disrupted ecosystems. Employees need as much focus as other external parties of interest that create and facilitate value for the customer. Their diverse hands-on perspectives when guided by leadership, play a significant contribution in navigating forward. To bring them along, certain important aspects need to be top of mind.
Internal stakeholders are as critical as external, demanding equal levels of attention and passion. Furthermore, they are required to manage touch points with current and potential markets and help to create experiences that yield desired returns. Raising awareness, empowering them at their different levels and even indulging their participation contributes to creating in-house promoters for the transformation at hand.
Empathy needs to be demonstrated when interacting with employees before cascading altered roles, requirements or changes - don’t instruct them into it – invite them! It is about speaking to their expectations, then demonstrating how they are incorporated as the organization moves forward. This is part of building an environment where they feel respected and ushered into an era of possibilities cushioned with authenticity and thoughtfulness.

Change management drives the journey! The process of aligning to progressive models is likely to come with concerns, anxiety, alongside strained capabilities. It demands effort to identify and understand present mindsets, attitudes and how they can be enabled to make positive alignments. It is more than one training, piece of communication or announcement, to driving messages and initiatives that steer efforts and empower required change.??
We need to reach our teams in ways that engage them best, speaking to their pain and value points. The same way we develop and manage external campaigns, we need to actuate internal targeted communication alongside other endeavors. Using advancements such as digital, social groups, remote platforms would support to raise their engagement and speak in a language they understand.
