Bring on the Green Spring

Spring is so hopeful. The bulb flowers are pushing their way upward, sprouts of new leaves can be seen on the trees and the bounty of vegetables and fruit are starting to fill up the stalls and stands at the market.

Inspired by the fresh new season, I spent a day in the studio making portraits of herbs and vegetables. I shot images with a macro lens allowing me to get closer to my subject and pull out the details and textures.

I hope these images inspire you to pick up some fresh veggies and herbs to craft a seasonal recipe or add them to a beverage. A cucumber mint mocktail or mojito sounds good right now.
