Unleash your creativity with a wreath-making class and craft a festive masterpiece to adorn your door. Several of London's top florists provide these workshops, many of which, like Lavender Green in Chelsea, are complemented by Pocket Rocket canapés and a tipple or two while creating your wreath!?

And in London, you'll be spoiled for choice with a plethora of iconic locations serving as the perfect backdrop for these performances. Three ways to elevate your Christmas canapés spread

1) Dig out your best china

The holidays are the time to use your “special occasion” wares. Treasured plates can become canapé trays to circulate among friends or arranged on your dining table at different heights to create interest. You can even use your favourite cookbooks to discreetly elevate the plates!

2) Level up your canape trays with seasonal foliage

Decorate with pinecones, holly, winter berries, dried orange slices, herbs and leaves. You can even gather foliage on a shallow tray, then top with a bespoke piece of glass to encase and serve canapés from.

Top tip: Contact your local glazier for an inexpensive but bespoke piece of glass and ensure they smooth the edges. Another consideration is to match the decorations to the hero ingredient of your canapés.

The store is across from the iconic Notting Hill bookshop – perfect for a spot of Christmas shopping!
