I love this when sales leaders start off with the rhetorical "C’mon people we have to get our sales up." How insulting. The sales team probably already knows this but this really brings forward a great question for sales leaders:
"Do you know why each sub-par sales person is struggling and more specifically how are you specifically helping them? If you as a sales leader cannot answer these two simple questions then you are managing one thing and one thing only:
NUMBERS
The fatal mistake when sales managers manage numbers and not people as individuals this sends a resounding message: The reps are in it for themselves, thus sink or swim. The goal of very sales leader should be to share with each and every sales person the pursuit of higher performance that ultimately leads
