Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

? Manage a caseload of dispute resolution matters, including commercial disputes, contract disputes, property litigation, and other civil litigation matters.

? Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare court pleadings, motions, and briefs.

? Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and other alternative dispute resolution forums.

? Provide strategic advice to clients on the merits of their cases, potential risks, and available options for resolution.

? Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements to resolve disputes in a timely and cost-effective manner.

? Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure the efficient handling of cases and deliver excellent client service.

? Stay informed about changes in relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting dispute resolution practice.

Qualifications:

? Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in dispute resolution and litigation.

? Strong litigation skills, with experience managing a diverse caseload of disputes and representing clients in court proceedings.

? Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal arguments persuasively.

? Sound judgment and analytical thinking, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and dispute resolution.

? Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and negotiate favorable outcomes.

? Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services with a focus on client satisfaction and achieving positive results.

? Membership in relevant professional organizations and ongoing professional development activities are desirable.
