On August 8, 2024, Derek's world changed in an instant. A severe stroke necessitated emergency brain surgery to save his life. While the surgery was successful, it left Derek with complete loss of mobility on his right side. In a heartbeat, this vibrant young man, known for his quick mind and dynamic presence, found himself facing the greatest challenge of his life.
