A brilliant breakfast meeting with our CEO, du – Fahad Al Hassawi

Today, I had the privileged to meet our CEO, Fahad Al Hassawi for breakfast, which was planned for members of the brand ambassadors’ program and being a part of this program allowed me to interact and get to know our CEO more. It was one of the most pleasant meetings where we could engage with him and get to know him more as a person in a casual setting over a coffee cum breakfast.

Being a CEO is the highest leadership position that comes with its own perks and challenges and meeting our CEO today made me learn more about leadership, hence I would like to share with you some interesting insights.

Firstly, your career path can diversify according to your interests and your degree does not define your journey. Knowing Fahad graduated with an Engineering degree and has been in many diverse roles from engineering to HR to commercial is inspiring to see if you have the determination and focus you can adapt and grow in any area. Secondly it was also inspiring to find out from him that change is always good for you to grow and that whenever he got an opportunity in his career he never said no and took the leap and paved the way in his journey to becoming a CEO today.

Thirdly, he believes in learning on the job through the challenges and work environment as well as focuses on staying fit and healthy. Another inspiration was to see how he focuses on remaining healthy by maintaining an active lifestyle and playing sports of his interests every alternate day.

Lastly, what I have always seen and admired in Fahad as our CEO, even before this meeting which is commendable is his humble nature and simplicity. Success and going up the hierarchy should not dictate the nature of the person, and this is something we all admire about our CEO who is a visionary leader with an ocean of knowledge which we benefited from his wisdom today during the breakfast which was an honor for me and made me pen down this meeting. It was indeed a great experience and I look forward to many more successes and milestones under his visionary leadership at du.
