The Brilliance of Humanity

We are at a juncture in our evolution as a human species, where a lot of what we are not is falling away.  Our true essence is coming to the fore and the brilliance of this essence in all its facets in every human being is bursting through and getting expressed, sometimes in its fullness and sometimes in parts.  This brilliance has a purity with which we can connect to each other deeply and brings many aspects of living alive.  And as we understand the depth, the fascinating expanse of its pulsing fullness, the brilliance unfolds in totally unexpected ways on our planet.  Living from this brilliance is touching and changing everything around us, the way we understand ourselves, the way we interact with others, the way we create and the way we connect with our planet.  The complete sense of interconnection and interdependency between many is allowing us to sow the seeds of a new civilisation on our planet.

Civilisation is normally defined as societies in an advanced state of social development where there is intellectual, cultural, and material development in human society.   However, we are looking at a new type of civilisation emerging today where the expansion of the human is at an unprecedented level and the sense of collective connection is way beyond anything we have seen and experienced before.  And the expression of this in society requires for us to focus on understanding what is required to grow the brilliance of every human being in our societies everywhere.   This changes the existing landscape of societal development as it morphs into totally interconnected and interdependent global societies where every activity, every action and every creation in every country by every government, business, charity, institution and individual is for the best expression of all of humanity and the planet.  And by expression of all of humanity, we mean the expression of each and every human being’s brilliance in every corner of the world. And by the best expression of the planet we mean the harmonious and vibrant existence of each and every species, fauna and flora in the oceans and on land.

Now, this requires a totally new re-orientation and re-structuring of how we express & live in our societies.  The societal role of every entity will need to be re-aligned from focussing on the needs and visions of the people in a particular country to focussing on the needs and visions of all of humanity.  This is a HUGE refocus and requires an expansion of perspectives, mind sets and ways of being in how we function in our world.  This takes us towards the creation of a truly global society that is in complete sync with what our world requires and can be. And we are now ready to create this.

We are more aware of what is happening in the world and almost 80% of people in the world are connected with each other through technology and broadcast media and can communicate and engage with each other in ways that was not possible before. (75% of the world has mobiles as stated by World Bank & 2.2bn people have internet access as stated by Internet World Stats 2012 and 6 out of 10 people have access to TV & Radio as stated by Reuters). We also know that there is an abundance of resources to feed 11bn people on our planet (Royal Society of Arts Feb 2012) & we need to find ways to make it available to all in the world.  We also have access to new clean energy resources that can support our energy usage for the future which is beginning to come online as renewable resources are being developed further.  All of these trends point us to the fact that we as a species can come together in brilliant new ways and ensure the wellbeing of humanity and our planet.  

And there are many more new ideas, solutions, initiatives, structures, concepts and constructs that are being developed and expressed collectively by people who are bringing the brilliance of humanity to the fore.  From the Occupy movement & Arab Spring revolution to the Olympics and Paralympics in London, we are seeing people coming together and sharing the beginnings of a new civilisation.  A new form of freedom is being called for; where there is equity of resources on the planet & where the inherent power & brilliance of every person in the world is recognised, honoured and expressed.  Both of these are key tenets of our new global society and require for all of us to become global human beings and work towards a collective global purpose.  

What does it really mean to be a global human being?

Many of us in the last decade have experienced the blurring of boundaries of countries and a movement towards feeling the collective connection with each other as fellow beings of this planet. We have also begun to have a deeper understanding of our true selves and been growing the urge to express our brilliance in collective ways. Being a global human being means;

-        Having a deep connection to other beings, the planet and its resources and cultivating a clear understanding of the interconnectedness and interdependency of all

-        Expressing one’s brilliance and catalysing it in others irrespective of where they come from and what situation they are in and recognising the inherent brilliance that exists in all

-        Designing and creating only for the collective good & expression of all and not for just fulfilling one’s needs at the expense of others, be it in the same community, organisation, society or country

-        Knowing that each and every person is a creator and shaper of our societies and has an important contribution to make to develop the fabric of our new civilisation 

And what is a collective global purpose?

As we expand into being global human beings, our societies morph into structures, entities and creations that support the expression of this global being.  And what we have already created that does not serve us will either fall away or morph into what is required by the global beings around the world.  Everything that we focus on as a collective has got to support the expression of our core brilliance and cannot support anything else.  So each entity that we create and engage with has got to serve all of humanity and the planet.  So imagine the role of existing entities morphing into something new.  

Global businesses and global charities can merge to become creational hubs providing opportunities for people to create products and services for the wellbeing of everyone in the world.  Governments can become Facilitative Hubs, facilitating the flow of goods (food, electronic products, medicines etc) and services (educational, health, financial, technological, energy, and transport) between countries ensuring everyone’s basic needs are met.  The role of finance diminishes and becomes another resource that facilitates the expression of global human beings and is not the main measurement of progress. 

 As with all resources that are at the disposal of humanity, conscious and intelligent flow will facilitate their use and ensure the expansion and brilliance of humanity to shine.
