The brilliance of gestures

Hi,
As you know, it’s normal to add gestures when you’re delivering a presentation.
In fact, they can even help emphasise your message.
But guess what?
They can also become unintentional distractions.?
Think about those making repetitive movements during a talk.
It's like they’re dancing—but they’re not quite synchronised with the music.?
Such repetitive moments, while unintentional, can make you lose focus, right?
And they can divert your attention from the speaker’s message.?
The same goes for your audience.
This is why you need to master the art of purposeful gestures.
What do I mean?
Imagine pacing back and forth without rhyme or reason as you speak.?
It may be nothing of importance to you…
But to your audience, you’ll appear like a wanderer lost in thought.
And chances are that they will not be convinced by what you say.
This is why movement must be a partner to your words.
They should support your narrative and guide your audience's attention.
Think of it like you’re a conductor leading an orchestra.
Every movement you do is intentional, right?
Because your movements contribute to the symphony's grandeur.
So, as you shape your content and presentation, consider each gesture you make.?
Do they emphasise key points and draw your listeners in??

Or do they pull away their focus and lead them away from your message?
And if there's any gesture that niggles at your concentration when observing a speaker…
Take note of it.
Because it’s likely that such gestures will also negatively impact your audience.
Remember:
Each gesture you make in your presentation should serve a purpose.
It should be an extension of your words or an amplifier of your key message.
Now, practising your gestures for presentations can be a bit awkward.
But if you want a space to rehearse your gestures…
Not to mention get real-time feedback on how you deliver your speech…
I’m here to guide you.
