Q: How long has the Charity Committee been around, and how is it structured?

A: The Charity Committee has been a driving force for good at BRIGHT for six years, completing three terms so far. Each term lasts two years, and we're looking to welcome a new wave of passionate volunteers to carry the torch forward in 2025. The committee typically comprises 5-6 members, with one serving as the elected Chairman.

Q: What kinds of initiatives does the committee support?

A: Our focus is diverse, encompassing a wide range of causes. We provide financial and material support to hospitals, organize hands-on projects like park cleanups, and even host events that promote team spirit and family involvement. Sharing the impact of our work is crucial, so we actively use social media to showcase results and inspire others to participate. Our ultimate goal is to see more colleagues join our efforts and leave a greater mark on our community.

Q: Can you share some examples of recent projects?

A: Absolutely! In the first half of 2024, we partnered with the "Hope for the Little Ones" foundation to support children in critical situations. We also assisted with the Sofia Run marathon, organized an activity day for children at the Dren orphanage, and collaborated with the Vitosha Nature Park directorate to enhance a popular recreational area.

Q: What's your favourite cause so far?

A: One of our most cherished events is the annual Vitosha cleanup, during which BRIGHT employees come together to improve the park for visitors. This event embodies our commitment to creating a tangible impact.

Q: How does the committee discover new causes to support?

A: Our selection process is rooted in BRIGHT's core values: Knowledge, Unity, Innovation, and Impact. Ideas come from passionate committee members, colleagues, and even company-wide surveys. We prioritize initiatives that empower our team, foster unity, and generate positive change.
